Greatwood Breakfast & After-school Provision

Breakfast Club/After School Club

Our Breakfast and After School Clubs run each school day during term time. They are organised and supervised by teaching assistants holding relevant qualifications. Miss Rouse is the lead co-ordinator.

The clubs are held in the two classrooms at the bottom end of the school and are accessed from the bottom (Key Stage 2) entrance.

Breakfast Club is open from 7.45-8.30am. Children have a choice of breakfast including juice, cereal and toast. Staff take the children into the main school or onto the playground as school opens at 8.30am.

Charges:

Breakfast Club sessions cost £1.50

Payment may be made using Parent Pay or at the school office.

After School Club operates from 3.00-6.00pm.  Staff collect children at the end of the school day and take them to the club. Children have a variety of snacks including beans on toast, sandwiches, hot dogs, raisins and yoghurt.

The children take part in a variety of activities – outdoor games, board games, construction activities, creative and art tasks. They may choose to watch a video, read a book or play on a computer. Staff are also available to help children with their homework.

If you wish your child to attend Breakfast Club or After School Club please complete the relevant forms available from the school office.

Children may then be booked into the clubs in advance

Welcome back to another school year.  We are sure our breakfast and after school club will continue to be very popular.

Breakfast and After School Club continue to be very popular.  The children enjoy a range of activities and we hope to be able to get outside a lot more in the better weather.  Please see the documents below for the newsletter and menu options for the Summer Term.

Children from across all year groups have been enjoying lots of different activities at After School Club.  Some of the most popular are construction, colouring and using the laptops.  Many children like to complete their homework whilst there and there is always an adult available to help.
