Our school council members were recently involved in a new road safety project which aimed to raise awareness of safe parking and driving. We are very grateful to the local community police force who worked with the children to design some fliers to get the message across. Once complete, our children went out onto the streets with the police and members of our local community centre to spread the word among parents and children. Key messages were linked to safe parking and keeping speed to a maximum of 20mph. It was a successful project and we will aim to repeat this in the future with the help of the police. Thank you to all the members of the police who support our school on a regular basis and for their time in running this project.
