Classroom Secrets

Classroom Secrets have produced some home learning materials for Y2 children. These can be used to supplement the activities I set or as an alternative. I hope you find them useful.

Twinkl

Twinkl has made all their resources free for parents to access during this period of school closure. The Twinkl website address is www.twinkl.co.uk, you need to choose the Home Learning Hub option and the code to access the resources is UKTWINKLHELPS

Activity Village

This is a great website with lots of fun activities for children to do including colouring, puzzles, word searches etc. The address is www.activityvillage.co.uk

Audible Stories

On this website there are lots of books which can be read out loud to your child. The website is stories.audible.com

 

Hamilton Trust

This educational resources website has responded to the school closures by producing Weekly Home Learning Packs. There are 2 packs for Y2 each week, an English and a Maths pack. From Week 3 there will also be Teaching Packs to accompany these which gives guidance for parents on supporting their child with the activities. You can access them from the home page of the Hamilton Trust website which can be found at

David Walliams: Elevenses

Every day at 11am David Walliams reads a story aloud for children to listen to. You can access these by logging onto his website, www.worldofdavidwalliams.com Choose Elevenses from the drop down menu and scroll down to find the stories to listen to.
