For your morning activity, please can you ask someone in your family to test you on this week's spellings. Remember to get them to mix up the order and try your best! Good luck!
For your English work today I would like you to start completing some of the tasks from the English activity booklet below.
Please complete 'Postcards from around the world'. Read all three postcards and then answer the questions below.
Then I would like you to look at the ice-cream match-up activity. Remember - a prefix is a small group of letters that go at the start of a word. If you are unsure, try the prefix with each word and see which one makes the most sense. Then have a go at putting some of the new words (prefix with root word) into summer themed sentences.
We will look at some more of these activities next week so please don't go on any further for today.
During lockdown I have definitely felt more appreciative of the little things in life and have started to think about things that I am missing. I know that I am looking forward to going on a shopping trip and buying some new clothes! I am also looking forward to being able to go out for tea or to the cinema when it is safe to do so. And of course I am really looking forward to being back in the classroom altogether, having fun and learning new things.
What have you been missing since being in lockdown? What are you most looking forward to once life returns to normal? You can either create a new jar, this time thinking about what it is that you are looking forward to, or create a list of things you want to do when lockdown is completely lifted. Try and think of imaginative ideas, things that you have really missed. Do you have an idea on something you really want to do that you have never done before?
