Home Learning

Welcome back for our last half term. As you know a group from our class has returned to school and some of us are continuing with home learning. We will continue to put work onto the website. This will include an English and Maths activity and a wider curriculum activity for the afternoon. There will be some small changes to this work as the Maths will be taken from the white rose Maths scheme that the school have subscribed to.

If you would prefer to work from the books sent home or explore your own topics, then of course that is fine. Our message is still the same, wellbeing comes first. If you need a few days without work, take them, and keep focused on what your family needs.

Try to take some time for daily exercise too – this could be a walk or playing outside or following Joe Wicks for his video class. It can really help to improve your mood and makes focusing on work easier.

Welcome to our year 1 home learning page.

Below you will find work for every day. These will include Maths, English and Curriculum activities.

Please note that none of the work set is compulsory. Just try to do what you can each day.

In addition to this your child has their Home Learning Pack which they brought home on Friday 20th March. Inside are lots of ideas which you could try at home. There is also a 100 square to help with some Maths activities. Your child also has 2 CGP workbooks, one for English and another for Maths. I will let you know which pages to complete.

PE sessions are also available live at 9am every morning by Joe Wicks and can be accessed on his YouTube channel.

Practise your phonics by watching the daily Read Write Inc Phonics session on Ruth Miskin training's YouTube page. Set 1 sounds will be at 9:30 and 12:30, set 2 sounds at 10:00 and 13:00 and set 3 sounds at 10:30 and 13:30.

Please remember to take movement breaks and go into your garden/back yard regularly for some fresh air

Below is a link to a wide range of resources to help children and families through this very difficult situation. The resources have been collated from a wide range of sources to provide information for anyone to use as they feel would be helpful. They include information relevant to children across the early years and school age range including those with special educational needs and disabilities. Please note: They are not recommendations, purely possibilities.

Home Learning Summer Term 1 2020

(20th April - 22nd May 2020)

Welcome back after the Easter break! I hope that you are all safe and well and that despite the current restrictions you have enjoyed time at home with your family. It has definitely helped that the sun has been shining!

I'm looking forward to seeing lots of your photos over the coming weeks so that we can all keep in touch even though we are not at school together right now.
