Welcome to the Year 5 Home Learning Page
Welcome to the last half term of the year
I hope you all had a lovely half term - we have been so lucky with the weather! I hope you are all keeping safe and well. At the minute, we don't know a definite date for when Year 5 will be back at school, so for now, I will continue posting the children's work on here. As always, remember that happiness is number 1. The work posted is a guide and I am not expecting it all to be done. Use your own judgement and do what feels right.
I am missing all the children and hope to see them soon.
Please continue to send pictures via the year 5 email address, I love seeing what you have been up to.

Home Learning Summer Term 1 2020 (20th April-22nd May 2020)
Welcome back after the Easter break! I hope that you all managed to have a nice easter despite the current situation. It has certainly highlighted the importance of family time and being safe and happy together.
Over the next few weeks, I will be setting daily work for the children again. This will however, be focusing on areas we have already covered in class, and will hopefully be easier and more manageable for you all. Please note, the work provided is a guide, and it is down to you and your child to decide what you do/ don't choose to complete. Happy homes are more important than children feeling stressed and worried about the work they have to complete, but on the other hand, we know that some children love having structure and work to complete each day. Please do what works best for you and your family - once normality returns, the children will soon get back into their normal routines and learning will commence from wherever it needs to.
Please continue to email me photos to show what the children have been up to at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Take care and keep in touch,
Week 5 - 18.05.2020 - 22.05.2020
Week 4 - 11.05.2020 - 15.05.2020
Week 3 - 04.05.2020 - 08.05.2020
Week 2 - 27.04.2020 - 01.05.2020
I hope you are all well and that your home learning is going well!
I am LOVING all the emails that I am receiving, showing all the work that you have been doing at home. Keep up the hard work and stay in touch. Seeing your happy, smiley faces makes my day!
Love Miss James
Welcome to Year 5's Home Learning Page
Each day different activities will be posted on here for the children to complete at home. These will be, where possible, similar activities to what we would have completed in class.
There will be English, Maths and Reading work each day, as well as learning for Science, Topic, Art and PE.
Joe Wicks is carrying out live PE sessions on his youtube channel daily, from 9am. If your child would like to take part in these, please use the link below:
Below is a guide that your child could follow for their learning each day. Ideally, I would like them to complete Maths and English work every day. The work will be listed daily and should be completed in their home learning books where possible. Other activity ideas for lessons such as Science and Art etc. will also be listed. However, please also feel free to use your own ideas, e.g. baking, outside learning in the garden, lego challenges etc.
