Monday

Good morning, I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Below is your work for today - you have got a morning activity, Maths, English, spellings and Topic work. Remember - the work is a guide, you can complete as much or as little as you want. Try and include some exercise too, whether that is Joe Wicks, a walk out somewhere, a homemade PE lesson - whatever you fancy!

Please try and send some photos to our email address too - year5@greatwood.n-yorks.sch.uk, I really do enjoy seeing your happy faces and finding out about what you have been up to.

Morning activity: Spellings

For your morning activity, I would like you to look at your new spellings. Read each word aloud, and then see if you can write a sentence for each time adverbial. Try and vary where the time adverbial goes in your sentence, like the examples in the powerpoint.

Don't forget to get someone in your household to test you on last week's spellings too! Good luck!

Maths: Lesson 3 - Complements to 1

Watch this video and then complete the sheet below.

Maths - have a go at the flashback activity, but don't worry if you find it hard

English

For our English work this week we are going to learn more about our oceans and what we can do to help save them.

Today, I would like you to visit the websites listed below and make notes on any interesting facts you learn.

Over the next few days we are going to create a poster, showing what people can do to help save our oceans.

PSHE - Positivity jar

Don't forget to do some reading for at least 20 minutes today. It could be a magazine, book of your choice, newspaper. See if you can learn some new facts!

Enjoy the rest of the day.
