Geography

Today we are going to spend some time exploring maps and describing where objects are. When we are looking for a place or object on a map we can use different words to describe where they are. We can use words like next to, below, above, left of, right of and many others.

Can you use these words to describe where your pencil is on your table?

Today we are going to look at the pirate map below and use our description words to talk about where different object are. Have the map in front of you and look at the different card which will tell you which object to look for, this could be a parrot or a ship.

Reading

Read your school reading book or another book from home. Remember to use your phonics to help you to read any tricky words.
