Thursday 26th March

Good Morning.

I hope you all had a lovely day yesterday and have enjoyed your home learning so far.

Don’t forget to visit Joe Wicks’ YouTube channel for another fun and active start to your day.

You can also follow phonics live on Ruth Miskin training’s YouTube page where Read, Write inc. phonics lessons are available. For the times please check the phonics section of our class page.

Attached below are our learning activities for today. You also have your CGP Maths and English 10 minute workout books. Please complete Autumn term: workout 2 in your English book.

Don’t forget to take regular breaks outside and you can try some of the activities suggested in your workbook that was sent home.

Maths. In maths we are securing our understanding of subtraction.

English

Today we are going to continue learning about the animal you have chosen. In your book under the long date draw a picture of your chosen animal. To help you can find a picture online.

Underneath the picture can you write a description of the animal? This could include what they look like, what colour they are, how they move and any other features of the animal.

Music

In music we have been looking at pitch, how high or low sounds are. We have been using different songs to help us explore pitch.

With an adult can you practice singing ‘Frere Jacques’? As you are singing think about the tune of the song, when the tune goes higher move your hand higher and when the tune goes lower move your hand lower.

Try this with different nursery rhymes. You could also try moving your whole body, crouching down for low notes and reaching higher for the high notes in the song.

Handwriting. In your workbooks under the dot date can you practice writing the letters d, g and s. Write two lines of each letter focusing on writing on the line and forming the letters carefully.
