Thursday 2nd July

Good Morning.

I hope that you are all enjoying time outside and continuing to access the home learning work easily.

You can also follow phonics live on Ruth Miskin training’s YouTube page where Read, Write inc. phonics lessons are available. For the times please check the phonics section of our class page.

Attached below are our learning activities for today. You also have your CGP Maths and English 10 minute workout books.

Don’t forget to take regular breaks outside and you can try some of the activities suggested in your workbook that was sent home.

Maths

In Maths we are looking at comparing numbers. Some of the numbers are quite large, so you may find this tricky. Try your best to answer as many questions as you can. For a video tutorial follow the link below. Watch the video twice and in your book underneath the dot date answer the questions on the worksheet below.

English

In your workbooks under the long date can you practice writing the letters c and r. Write two lines of each letter focusing on writing on the line and forming the letters carefully. After you have practiced writing the letters carefully practice writing the words below. Write each word at least three times

can

ran

car

crow

Geography

Today we are going to spend some time exploring maps and creating our own treasure map.

We have explored map symbols and we have spent some time exploring different maps. Today you are going to design your own pirate treasure map. Log onto purple mash and in the ‘2do’ section on the website there is a treasure map activity for you to try.

Reading

Read your school reading book or another book from home. Remember to use your phonics to help you to read any tricky words.
