Good Morning Everyone!

Choose something from the PE and Exercise Ideas page.

English

Today I'd like you to write sentences using your spelling words. If you don't know what they mean you could ask a grown up to explain or to help you use a dictionary. Remember all the important things you need to include in your sentences (punctuation, finger spaces, conjunctions). Here's a reminder of your spelling words.

'au'

haul

cause

pause

August

Autumn

author

caught

sauce

Now have a go at this quiz about apostophes.

If you've time see if you can write 5 sentences of your own using an apostrophe to show possession. Like this:

Today my car's tyre was flat so I had to take it the garage to buy a new one.

Here are the nouns.

dog, mum, cat, brother, flower

Maths

Today we are going to compare different number sentences. Watch the teaching video below.

Now complete the activity.

Afternoon Activity

History

Today we are going to find out from photographs what seaside holidays were like in the past and compare them to today. Look at the presentation below and read the questions and prompts with an adult. Talk about what you think and what you can see.

Now complete the activity below. Write down in the diagram the features you've learnt from the photographs that belong to the 1950s holiday, those that match with a modern holiday and then in the middle joined area those that match both holidays.
Don't forget to do some reading today and learn your spellings too.
