Wednesday 29th April

Good Morning.

I hope that you are all enjoying time outside and accessing the home learning work easily.

Don’t forget to visit Joe Wicks’ YouTube channel for an energetic start to your day.

You can also follow phonics live on Ruth Miskin training’s YouTube page where Read, Write inc. phonics lessons are available. For the times please check the phonics section of our class page.

Attached below are our learning activities for today. You also have your CGP Maths and English 10 minute workout books. Please complete Autumn term: workout 9 in your English book.

Don’t forget to take regular breaks outside and you can try some of the activities suggested in your workbook that was sent home.

In Maths we are practicing counting and writing numbers up to 50. In your book underneath the dot date write out all the numbers from 0 up to 50.

Can you practice counting out loud? Count up to 50 and back from 50. If you are finding this tricky use the numbers you wrote out to help you. You can follow along the numbers as you are counting.

Using the different starting numbers below practice counting up and down.

Starting at 20 can you count up to 50?

Starting at 30 can you count down to 0?

Starting at 15 can you count up to 50?

Starting at 40 can you countdown to 0?

In English we are completing a spelling activity. We are practicing some common exception words.

In science we are learning about weather and seasonal changes.
Can you remember the names of the 4 seasons? What is the weather like in every season?

Over the next week in your book keep a weather diary. Go outside every day and make a note of what the weather is like. You can use the sheet below to help you to lay out your weather diary.

Read your school reading book or you could choose another book from home. Remember to use your phonics to help you to read any tricky words.
