Raising Aspirations

This programme is aimed at our Year 5 and Year 6 pupils in order to raise aspirations and open up the world of work. It shows children what careers are out there and the skills they’ll need to leave a positive footprint wherever they go in life.

It’s also about building their self-belief, their resilience, recognising their qualities and how they could be used in the workplace.

Mrs Hoggarth is our Raising Aspirations leader. In the Spring Term of 2023 we hosted a careers event. Over 25 professionals visited Greatwood and set up Careers stalls. All of our Year 5 and 6 children visited each of the 25 stations and inspired our children to be curious about their professions and find out more.
