Welcome Back!
The first few weeks will be getting to know the children, making sure they feel safe and confident in our environment and getting used to our indoor and outdoor areas. Our topic is All about Me. The children will be learning all about themselves including the different parts of their body, what the senses are and how to keep themselves healthy and happy. We will be talking about our families and also thinking about what life was like in the past. It would be great if you could provide a photo of your child as a baby and also any family photos which show how things were different in the past—grandparents may be the best to ask! For example, clothing, transport, electrical equipment, toys etc. Please only send copies, not originals! English work will focus on developing sentence writing through looking at stories with familiar settings. In Maths we will be working on number knowledge and place value and doing addition and subtraction calculations. PE will take place on a Thursday. In addition to this, the children will use the mile track daily and have access to the outdoor area.
