Greatwood Computing Curriculum
Computing at Greatwood aims to give our children clearly embedded skills when using a range of software. Our children use technology to develop digital literacy from Early Years; skills which are built upon each year through to Year 6. The curriculum uses different software through PurpleMash to give our children experiences in coding, spreadsheets and animation as well as opportunity to develop 3D games, text based adventure games and use their digit skills to create art work in different forms.
Our wider curriculum is enhanced through technology where children are able to use technology in other subjects such as Maths and Geography.
The curriculum is designed to build upon skills each year so that our children are equipped with the skills to enter a digital world for the future.
