Greatwood MFL Curriculum
At Greatwood, our children learn French as their MFL. Our curriculum follows a carefully considered approach to learning a new language and enables our children from Year 3 - Year 6 to build upon their knowledge, vocabulary and written learning each year. Within our learning, we enable our children to have meaningful speaking and listening practise to ensure our children hear high-quality examples of the spoken language. Children use paired talk to use new language and move on to using their learning in the written form. By the end of Year 6, our children are able to write short paragraphs fluently in French.
